ABOUT OUR $5 CLASSES

Our $5 classes are one lesson, self paced, in depth classes that allow you to see if the Next Level Homeschool format, and the different teaching styles of each of our three instructors, matches your child’s learning style!  $5 classes differ from other Next Level Homeschool courses in that there are no project/assignments to turn in for grading/feedback, no report card, and no student discussion. Other than that, the format and style is what you can expect from our other courses.

$5 classes start every Tuesday during the semester. We send out class access instructions every Tuesday for all enrollments received on or before Monday..

CLASS DESCRIPTION

In a world with so much information access through the internet, the problem is no longer finding information. It is finding good information from trustworthy sources that can be verified. This class acts as a brief lesson on hunting down good research sources and identifying ones that should be ignored. We will be working with real sources, learning what makes a source strong or weak, and figuring out how to identify a strong source when we come across it in our research.

CLASS FORMAT

Each lesson consists of a fully narrated PowerPoint presentation with images and videos to enhance the topics. Students will have access to our learning management system, Canvas, for viewing their lesson, printing worksheets, and taking quizzes. $5 classes do not have graded assignments or teacher feedback.
